2014: Kelsi returned for her fifth-year after being awarded a medical hardship in the spring of 2013 based on missing the majority of her freshman season with an ankle injury … participated in seven meets before an ankle injury on the floor exercise on Senior Night ended her season … established a career-high 9.950 on the floor exercise against Stanford (2/3/14) … scored a season-best 9.90 on vault in the Comfort Suites Invitational against Boise State, Utah State and Seattle Pacific (2/15/14) … “hit” 13 out of 17 routines in 2014 … finished her career 123-136.
2013: Kelsi put together another strong season that ended with her being named a Regular Season All-American on the vault by the NACGC/W … earned All-Pac-12 First Team on vault … scored a season-high 9.95 on the vault in four straight meets late in the season … scored 9.90 or better on vault eight times … scored season-high 9.85 on beam twice … scored career-high 9.90 on the floor at Pac-12 Championships (3/23/13) … set career-high in the all-around at the Metroplex Challenge (1/26/13) with 39.425 – 9.875 on vault, career-high 9.85 on bars, season-high 9.85 on beam and then-career-high 9.85 on floor … had fantastic performance at Pac-12 Championships with season-bests of 9.95 on vault and 9.85 on beam and career-high 9.90 on floor … “hit” 32 out of 36 routines.
2012: Kelsi enjoyed what could be considered a breakout season … earned All-Pac-12 Second Team on vault … competed on vault and floor in all 13 meets … set career-high 9.95 on the vault in a win over Stanford (1/27/12) … established career-high on floor exercise with 9.85 at Comfort Suites Invitational (3/16/12) … scored season-high 9.85 on beam at NCAA Championships (4/20/12) … surpassed the 9.90-mark on vault four times … performed in the all-around at Washington (2/3/12) … “hit” 34-38 routines.
2011: Kelsi had a bounce back year in 2011 competing in three events (vault, beam and floor) in all 13 meets … All-Pac-10 First Team on vault … had a career night at Pac-10 Championships (3/19/11) performing in the all-around (39.300) for the first time in her career to finish third in the meet … added season-best on vault (9.90) and career-high on bars (9.80) at Pac-10’s … set season-best on beam with 9.875 at NCAA Corvallis Regional (4/2/11) … scored 9.825 on floor at Arizona State (2/6/11) and matched that season-high at California (3/6/11) … “hit” 39 out of 40 routines.
2010: Kelsi’s season was derailed by a season-ending ankle injury, suffered during warm-ups at California (2/7/10), eventually requiring surgery … prior to the injury, Kelsi had performed in three lineups (vault, beam and floor) … was part of the vault lineup three times, setting a season-high of 9.85 at Ohio State (1/16/10) … scored 9.675 in only beam performance – at Ohio State … scored 9.75 in her only floor performance – vs. Stanford (1/29/10) … “hit” five out of five routines.
PREP CAREER: Kelsi is a two-time qualifier to the Olympic Training Center … finished second in the all-around at Junior Olympic National Championships in 2007 … finished third in the all-around at 2009 J.O. nationals and second on the balance beam … finished eighth in the all-around at J.O. nationals … won the all-around at Region 2 championships four straight years … trained at Gymnastics East under coaches Tammy Carney, Kim Thompson and Remus Dragan … was a club teammate with current OSU All-American Jen Kesler … previously trained with current OSU assistant coach John Carney at Gym East.
