Emily Wood joined the Oregon State men's rowing coaching staff in October 2025.
Prior to her hire, Wood recently completed her academic and athletic career at Oregon State, earning degrees in both English and environmental science while minoring in applied journalism and earning a certificate in scientific, technical and professional communication. 
As a senior in 2025, Wood coxed the Oregon State second varsity eight boat that had multiple wins over ranked opponents and posted a nine second margin of victory in the Grand Final of the West Coast Conference Championship, helping the team win its first ever conference championship and make its fourth ever team appearance at the NCAA Rowing Championships.
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Wood coached youth rowers at Oregon State's and Nashville Junior Rowing summer camps and completed a summer internship with US Rowing’s communications department. She also completed the CRCA Academy of Future Coaches program and, at the time of her hiring, was pursuing a US Rowing Level 2 Coaching Certification.
