Michael Doctor is in his first season at Oregon State in 2026 as director of recruiting. A four-year letterwinner for the Beavers from 2010-14, he returned to his alma mater after two seasons at Michigan State, where he served as director of recruiting and player relations in 2024 and 2025.
Doctor previously spent several seasons on the Oregon State staff, beginning as a recruiting assistant before being promoted to director of on-campus recruiting in 2019 and then to director of recruiting in 2021.
Playing Career
A native of Tulsa, Okla., Doctor started 38 games for Oregon State and totaled 238 tackles, a mark that ranked just shy of 10th in the program record books. He added 22.5 tackles for loss, also just outside the Top 10. Doctor recorded 69 tackles as a redshirt senior in 2014, when he was named a preseason watch list selection for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, given annually to college football's best defensive player in performance and character. In one of his final games with the Beavers, he intercepted an Arizona State pass late in the fourth quarter and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown in a 35-27 upset of the No. 8 Sun Devils.
Doctor graduated from Oregon State in 2014 with a degree in human development and family science and a minor in sociology.

Doctor and his wife, Madison, have a son and two daughters.
