Marco Candido is the head strength and conditioning coach at Oregon State.
He previously served as the associate head strengtth and conditioning coach after arriving on campus in 2018 from the University of Illinois, where he spent the last previous seasons working with the Fighting Illini’s football program. Prior to Illinois, he was an assistant football strength and conditioning coach at Washington State University from 2008-16. The Gustine, Calif., native also has experience at the collegiate level at Drake University, UAB, Arizona State University, the University of LaVerne, Occidental College and in Arena Football League 2 with the Birmingham Steeldogs.
He played football at Occidental where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology (2003) and earned a master’s degree from UAB in exercise physiology (2005).
He and his wife, Chelsea, have two sons, Canden (born August 2020) and Milo (born June 2022).
