2012: Mana Tuivailala (pronounced Mah-nah too-EE-vie-la-la) is still inexperienced in football having started to play as a sophomore in high school, however he has been part of the defensive tackle rotation at various times and will compete for playing time again this season. 2011: Played in the first two games of the season ... recorded one tackle at Wisconsin ... continued to gain experience on the Beavers' scout team. 2010: Redshirt.
SEASIDE: Played in the Salinas East-West All-Star Game ... preseason first team all-league ... helped Seaside to the 2009 Central Coast Section championship game and the co-title of the Monterrey Bay Athletic League ... missed part of his senior season due to injury, but still registered 60 tackles, including eight quarterback sacks ... also played offensive line ... did not play football until his sophomore year ... also played basketball ... moved to the U.S. in 2006 from New Zealand, where he was a rugby player.
PERSONAL: Born August 8, 1992 in Honolulu ... son of Paula and Sela Tuivailala ... has six siblings, Saia, Paula, Senita, Lani, Mackenzie and Cindy ... majoring in psychology.
