CAREER: Feti ‘Unga (pronounced fed-TEE OONG-uh – soft g) started 19 games … sixth on the team with 56 tackles in 2012 and sixth in 2011 with 67 stops … wore Taumoepeau on the back of his jersey for most of the season in honor of his mother; switched back to ‘Unga for senior day against Oregon … played against his twin brother, Uani, at BYU – Uani (who played at OSU for two seasons) also wore Taumoepeau in that game … career-high with 14 tackles against UCLA as a junior … also tallied 13 stops in the Civil War at Oregon in 2011 … missed three games of his junior season with a sprained left knee … one of eight true freshmen to play in 2009 … signed with OSU with the class of 2006 before going on a two-year LDS Mission to Chile … Kahuku won the state title in 2005 … first team all-state by the Honolulu Advertiser … a standout in basketball for a team that won the state title for the first time in four decades … brother, Paul, played football at Arizona State … cousin Harvey ‘Unga played football at BYU and was drafted by the Chicago Bears … cousin, Fahu Tahi, played fullback in the NFL for the Minnesota Vikings … cousin, Reno Mahe, played several years in the NFL … uncle Tim Manoa also played in the NFL.
