Former Beaver quarterback Scott Spiegelberg was named to the newly created position of Beyond Football in September of 2013.
Spiegelberg serves in a student/mentor position that interacts with business leaders, entrepreneurs, faculty and staff. In addition, he is involved in fundraising initiatives, alumni relations via “Varsity OSU” and strategic planning.
Spiegelberg returned to OSU Athletics after spending nearly two years as the Coordinator of Career Services for Graduate Business Programs in OSU’s College of Business. From 1992-97 he was the Executive Director of Our Beaver Nation (formerly known as the Beaver Club) after spending the previous two years as the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing. He has also worked for the OSU Foundation and as an account executive for KOBI-TV in Medford.
In addition to his OSU’s employment history, Spiegelberg spent 12 years as the Assistant Director of College and University Relations for the JELD-WEN Windows and Doors Corporation.
The Medford High School graduate lettered for the Beavers in 1972 and served as a graduate assistant football coach from 1973 to 1975 under then head coach Dee Andros. He graduated from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in psychology.
Scott & his wife Peggy have three children, Annie, Joey & Jimmy.
