Ryan Wallace
- Title:
- Co-Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends
Ryan Wallace will join the Oregon State football program as Co-Offensive Coordinator/Tight Ends Coach, Head Coach JaMarcus Shephard has announced.
Â
"Ryan Wallace is somebody who I consider to be a ball coach," Shephard said. "He has developed a number of different tight ends that are currently playing in the National Football League and former NFL players. He is someone who I have seen grow and develop throughout his entire coaching career, from being a player to where he is now. Ryan will bring a wealth of knowledge from various schemes and defensive schemes to compete in the new Pac-12 Conference. We are excited to have Ryan Wallace."
Â
Wallace was previously the tight ends coach at Louisville University since December 2022 after spending six seasons at Purdue University in different offensive coaching capacities.
Â
"My family and I are so excited to join the Beaver family," Wallace said. "I have known Coach Shephard for over a decade and consider him both a phenomenal football coach and a passionate leader of men. I cannot wait to get to work and build a brand of football that Oregon State fans will be proud of for the years to come."
Â
The appointment is contingent on the completion of all university hiring processes.
Â
In three seasons at Louisville, Wallace coached a tight ends group that had a combined 17 touchdown receptions and helped lead an offensive unit that was among the best in the nation in total offense and passing yards.

Â
During his time with the Boilermakers, Wallace coached Brycen Hopkins, who was named the Kwalick-Clark Big Ten Tight End of the Year, and Payne Durham, who earned second team All-BIG Ten accolades.

Austin Peay signed the No.1 recruiting class in FCS, according to 24/7 Sports, that season.
Â
Prior to his stint at Austin Peay, Wallace spent three seasons as a graduate assistant at Western Kentucky, where he worked directly with the tight ends in 2014 and 2015 and with the offensive line in 2013. In 2015, the Hilltoppers won the Conference USA Championship Game and Miami Beach Bowl and finished 24th in the final Associated Press poll.
Â
Western Kentucky finished that season first in the nation in passing touchdowns, fifth in passing yards and scoring offense, and eighth in total offense. The season prior, the Hilltoppers broke 47 offensive school records, finished first in the country in passing touchdowns, second in passing yards, fourth in total offense and sixth in scoring offense.
