Kuony Deng joined the Oregon State staff in 2024 as a defensive graduate assistant coach.
Deng, a native of Aldie, Va., played in 19 games at California from 2019-2021. He posted 154 tackles in his career, with 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, eight pass breakups, six quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Deng, an outside linebacker during his career, recorded a career-high 119 tackles as a junior in 2019. He finished with 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, eight pass breakups and one fumble recovery.
He finished with 48 tackles at Independence Community College in 2018, and appeared in nine games from 2016-17 at Virginia Military Institute (VMI) where he made 27 tackles over two seasons.
