Hank Hager is in his sixth year as an assistant director of Athletic Communications at Oregon State, working with the baseball, volleyball and football teams. While at OSU, he has also worked with the women's basketball and wrestling teams and in 2009, his baseball media guide was named third-best in the nation by CoSIDA.
He has experience with USA Baseball, first with the 14U National Team in 2010 and the Collegiate National Team in 2011 during a tour of New England, North Carolina and Omaha, Neb.
Prior to coming to Corvallis, he spent three years at Auburn, where he worked with the football and softball teams. During his tenure at Auburn, Hager worked with five NFL First-Round Draft selections and his 2006 football program "Auburn Illustrated" was rated best in the nation by CoSIDA. Hager served as the media relations director for the Eugene Emeralds in 2003 and was a communications intern with the Portland Beavers in 2002. Hager began his tenure in media relations as an intern with the San Jose Sharks of the NHL in 2001.
Hager, 30, graduated from the University of Oregon in 2004 with a bachelor of science in journalism. A native of San Jose, Calif., he is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
