• Second-team all-state selection after his junior season.
• Batted .340 with eight doubles, six home runs, 27 RBI and 15 stolen bases as a junior. Also went 2-2 with a 2.19 ERA and 28 strikeouts on the mound.
• Second-team all-league as a freshman. Batted .330 with seven doubles and 19 RBI and was 2-1 with a 2.48 ERA.
• Also lettered in track and football. Named second-team all-conference in football as both a sophomore and junior.

• Regularly volunteers in the community, from reading to youth in his area, assisting at his church and helping out at a homeless shelter and a veterans home in Boulder City, Nev.
• Chose Oregon State because “the camraderie with the baseball players and coaches. They treat everyone with respect and the program is focused on turning boys into men in a matter of 3-to-4 years.”
