Former Oregon State left-handed pitcher Jake Postlewait is in his second season as an undergraduate assistant coach with the Beavers.
Postlewait played three seasons in the Minor Leagues with the Colorado Rockies organization, pitching in 73 games a the A-level. He posted a 10-20 record and made 49 starts.
Postlewait ended his professional career in 2007 with the St. Paul Saints, posting a 6-7 record.
A Corvallis, Ore., native, he pitched in 66 games for the Beavers from 2001-04, making 29 starts. He went 18-6 over his career, including an 11-3 record in 2004. Postlewait posted a 3.72 ERA in 15 starts in ‘04, earning First-Team All-Pac-10 Conference honors.
Postlewait was selected in the seventh round, 200th overall, in the 2004 MLB First-Year Player Draft by Colorado.
Postlewait was a four-year letterwinner at Corvallis High School. He was all-state second-team on the mound as a senior after finishing with a 9-2 record and 1.38 ERA.
