Andrew Moore was named assistant coach and pitching coach at Oregon State on June 20, 2026, returning to Corvallis after three seasons in the Cleveland Guardians organization. A two-time All-American for the Beavers from 2013-15 and a former second-round Major League Baseball draft pick, Moore was tabbed to take over the Oregon State pitching staff after directing arms at Triple-A Columbus and High-A Lake County.

Coaching Highlights
• Directed a Triple-A Columbus staff in 2024 that posted a 4.70 ERA, among the best in the International League, ranked fifth in the IL with 1,392 strikeouts over 1,278 innings and held opponents to a .243 batting average.
• Oversaw a High-A Lake County staff in 2025 that produced a 3.89 ERA and 1,162 strikeouts in 1,149 2/3 innings.
• Coached Cleveland top-30 prospect Josh Hartle to a 10-2 record, a 2.35 ERA over 103 1/3 innings and Midwest League Pitcher of the Year honors in 2025.
• Franco Aleman, Will Dion and Daniel Espino all making their Major League debuts this season after pitching for the Clippers in 2026.

Playing Career & Education

Professional
• Selected in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners following his junior season at Oregon State.
• Made his Major League debut on June 22, 2017, limiting Detroit to six hits and three runs in seven innings while striking out four.
• Appeared in 12 games over two Major League seasons (2017, 2019) with Seattle, earning one win across 63 2/3 innings.

Oregon State (2013-15)
• Appeared in 51 games with 48 starts, going 27-9 with a 2.10 ERA and 251 strikeouts.
• Ranks ninth in Oregon State history in career wins (27), third in career ERA (2.10) and 10th in career strikeouts (251).
• Named a Baseball America, ABCA and Louisville Slugger All-American as a freshman in 2013 after going 14-2 with a 1.79 ERA, tying for the national lead in wins while setting an Oregon State single-season record and posting the 10th-best single-season ERA in program history.
• Also earned 2013 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, All-Pac-12 First Team, NCBWA and Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America First Team honors, was a National Pitcher of the Year semifinalist and was named to the Corvallis Regional All-Tournament Team.
• Went 6-5 with a 2.77 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 94 1/3 innings as a sophomore in 2014, setting a career high and an Oregon State postseason record with 14 strikeouts in eight innings against North Dakota State on May 30 — the most by a Beaver pitcher in the postseason since at least 1983.
• Went 7-2 with a 1.91 ERA as a junior in 2015, leading the Beavers to the NCAA Dallas Regional and earning All-America honors for a second time.

North Eugene High School
• Four-year letterwinner at North Eugene High School under head coach Corey Nicholsen; named first-team all-league all four seasons and first-team all-state sophomore through senior years.
• Named Oregon State Pitcher of the Year as a sophomore and junior and the 5A State Player of the Year as a senior.
• 2010 State Championship Player of the Year and rated the No. 5 high school prospect in the state of Oregon by Baseball Northwest.
• Featured in Sports Illustrated’s “Faces In The Crowd” as a junior after throwing back-to-back no-hitters in his first two league games against Thurston and South Eugene.
• Went 9-1 with a 0.76 ERA and 125 strikeouts in 72 2/3 innings as a senior, allowing just eight earned runs, 39 hits and 14 walks while also batting .400 with seven doubles and 21 RBI.
