Ten Gymnasts Named Scholastic All-Americans

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Ten Oregon State gymnasts were named Scholastic All-Americans by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) announced Tuesday.
Oregon State’s 2015 Scholastic All-Americans include seniors Taylor Keeker, Katelyn Ohlrich and Chelsea Tang along with sophomores Silvia Colussi-Pelaez, Madeline Gardiner, Kaytianna McMillan and Taylor Ricci, as well as freshman Shireen Khamedoost who posted a 4.0 grade point average in her first year of college. In addition, former OSU gymnasts Kana Kobayashi and Jaime Wright, both of whom were forced into retirement by injury last year, also earned the award.
Student-athletes must have maintained a 3.50 GPA for the entire 2013-14 school year to receive Scholastic All-American status.
It is the fourth award for Keeker, who recently graduated with a degree in human development and family sciences, and Ohlrich, who received her degree in mechanical engineering major. It is the third such award for Wright, who is a biology major. Colussi-Pelaez, Gardiner, McMillan and Ricci are all two-time recipients.
In 2015, Oregon State returned to the NCAA Championships where the Beavers finished ranked 12th in the nation.
