Last Game
Gabe Clark’s two-run home run paced the Beavers to a 12-3 win over Stanford Sunday, sending OSU to a sweep of the Cardinal.
Last Game In Non-Con
Tuesday’s matchup with the Ducks is the last regular season non-conference game for the Beavers. OSU is 19-5 in non-conference games this year, batting .319 to just .219 for opponents. The staff’s ERA is 2.81 while opponents have posted a 7.83 mark.
Nationally
Oregon State comes into Tuesday’s midweek matchup fifth in the nation in hits allowed per nine innings at 7.09. That trails only UCLA (7.03) in the Pac-12. The Beavers are also sixth in WHIP at 1.15. That also only trails UCLA (1.02) in the league ranks.
Fielding Percentage Shoots Up
The Beavers did not commit an error in the series sweep of Stanford, and pushed their fielding percentage to .977, which leads the Pac-12 and is 16th nationally. OSU has committed just three errors in its last seven games.
Harrison On A Tear
KJ Harrison hit safely in all four games last week to extend his hit streak to six games. He is 11-for-26 (.423) with nine runs, 12 RBI, three walks, two doubles and three home runs during the hit streak.
When He Starts
Sam Tweedt is scheduled to make his sixth start of the season Tuesday night. The freshman is 5-0 with a 1.45 ERA in 31 innings in games he starts. Out of the ‘pen, he is 3-1 with a 7.20 ERA in 10 innings.
Singles
• The Beavers started an “old” lineup in Sunday’s victory over Stanford. A season-high four upperclassmen were in the lineup. The Beavers have started multiple games with just one upperclassman in the lineup - Jeff Hendrix, who has started every game this year.
• OSU is 28-8-1 when scoring first this year.
• Elliott Cary is 6-for-14 (.429) during a four-game hit streak. He has five RBI and a triple during it.
• Oregon State has won four straight over Oregon at Goss Stadium.
