OSU Heads to Lane CC for Thursday Meet

The Oregon State track & field team will compete at the Titan Twilight Meet on Thursday.
Fresh off an outstanding effort at last weekend’s Oregon Relays, the Beavers will send approximately 15 runners, jumpers and throwers to Lane Community College for the competition, which begins at 2:30 p.m.
No team scores will be kept. It is OSU’s final meet before the third-annual High Performance Meet, set for May 1 at the Whyte Track & Field Center. They will not compete at Fresno State this weekend, as was previously scheduled.
The Beavers had 10 all-time top-10 performances, 31 top-10 finishes and 14 top-5 finishes at Hayward Field this past weekend. Juniors Kara Hallock (heptathlon) and Michele Turney (triple jump) and sophomore Melissa Ausman (discus) took second. Junior Morgan Anderson ran the second-fastest 1,500 (4:24.55) in school history.
“We also had a number of personal-bests and season-bests,” OSU coach Kelly Sullivan said. “So overall [it was] a really good weekend against some outstanding competition.”
