Frosh Faces: Jared Reis

Napoleon, N.D. native Jared Reis walked into the Dale Thomas Wrestling Room with a decorated high school athletic career under his belt. At Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter High School, Reis was a three-time North Dakota state champion on the mats as well as a member of his school's 2012 state championship football team, for whom he gained 1,000 yards for while serving as running back.

Zalesky Announces 2012 Incoming Wrestling Class

A total of five freshmen and one junior college transfer highlight Coach Zalesky's newcomers

OREGON STATE
2012-13
Utilized redshirt season ... Competed unattached at open tournaments throughout the year at 149 lbs., going 15-4 ... Picked up nine decisions, a major decision and a tech fall, with three pins ... Fastest fall came against MSU Northern's Trevor Goss (2:28), during the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 16) ... Finished season on an eight match win streak ... Went 4-1 at the Mike Clock Open (Nov. 12), taking third place honors, 3-0 during the Reno Tournament of Champions, and 5-1, finishing in third place at the Clackamas Open (Jan. 20) ... Won individual weight class title at California Collegiate Open in San Francisco (Feb. 2), by going 3-0.

Thee-Time state champion ... Also played football where he gained 1,000 yards as a running back for school's football team which won the 2012 state championship.
