OSU Wrestler Delgado Named a Finalist for Oregon Sports Award

Delgado went an impressive 51-1 during his senior season at Hermiston High and won the Class 5A state championship at 138 lbs.

Zalesky Announces 2012 Incoming Wrestling Class

A total of five freshmen and one junior college transfer highlight Coach Zalesky's newcomers

OREGON STATE
2012-13
Utilized redshirt season ... Compiled a 13-3 overall record competing unattached in open tournaments ... Won final four matches of season ... Went 6-3 in matches ending in a decision, 2-0 in major decisions and was undefeated, pinning five opponents on the year without being pinned himself ... Fastest fall was 1:56 against Pacific's Shawn Speer in the Mike Clock Open ... Went 5-1 during Mike Clock (Nov. 12), taking home third place honors ... Compiled 4-2 mark at the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 16), as well as a 4-0 record at the Clackamas Open (Jan. 20), en route to a first place finish ... Received 'Hardest Worker Award' during team's post-season awards banquet.

Was first wrestler in school history to become a four-time state champion ... Finished high school career with 193-3 record ... Set school records for most pins in a season and career as well as the single season and career mark for wins ... Was one of just three nominated for prep-wrestler of the year at the Oregon Sports Awards.
