
Gory Signs with Beavers

CORVALLIS – Forward DeShawn Gory has signed with the Oregon State men's basketball team, head coach Justin Joyner announced Wednesday.
Gory will join the Beavers as a sophomore, after spending his freshman season at Fresno State.

Gory started all 32 games at Fresno State last season, averaging 13.7 points and 6.7 per game, and shooting 48.4 percent from the floor. He scored in double-figures 24 times on the season, and went over 20 points on six occasions. Gory posted a career-high 31 points on 12-for-19 shooting at New Mexico, and added 14 rebounds and five assists.

"DeShawn is an exceptional talent whose ability to score the basketball in a variety of ways immediately stands out, but what excites us even more is his genuine love for the game. Gory scored in double-figures in 11-straight games to close out the 2025-26 season. He finished the year with six double-doubles, and was the second-highest scoring freshman in the Mountain West. Gory played high school ball at PHH Prep, and was a three-star recruit.
