Men’s Golf Closes Play At The Thunderbird Collegiate

PHOENIX – Nguyen Anh Minh finished with a 4-under 209 and Antoine Jasmin shot a 1-under 212 to lead the Oregon State men's golf team at the two-day Thunderbird Collegiate.
The Beavers, who completed play on Saturday, finished eighth with a team score of 5-under 847. Oregon State was just one stroke shy of No. 7 Utah and three behind No. 6 Colorado.
Anh Minh, the reigning Golfer of The Month in the West Coast Conference, took 14th. Jasmin finished 24th and Collin Hodgkinson, who had a 2-under 69 Saturday and finished at par overall, took 27th.
Anh Minh led the Beavers with 13 birdies, followed closely by Jasmin's 12 and Hodgkinson's 11.
Anh Minh posted back-to-back 2-under 69s at the par-71 Papago Golf Course. He wrapped play at par on Saturday.
Jasmin finished at par in rounds one and three, and ended the second, on Friday, with a 1-under 70.
Hodgkinson had his best round of the event with the 2-under Saturday, following a 1-over 73 and a 71 on Friday.
Rylan Johnson shot three consecutive 1-over 72s to finished 3-over for the event, taking a tie for 42nd. He was followed by Stanley Lin, who finished with an 8-over 221, tying him for 54th. Ethan Elleraas, competing as an individual, finished in a tie for 59th with a 13-over 226.
