
Anh Minh In Second After 36 Holes at WCC Championships

FAIRFIELD, Calif. – Nguyen Anh Minh finished in second place at 6-under par to lead the Oregon State men's golf team after the opening 36 holes of play at the West Coast Conference Championships on Friday.
Anh Minh posted rounds of 2-under 70 and 4-under 68 to share second place with Augusta's Bo Blanchard and Pepperdine's Mahanth Chirravuri. He sat four shots back of the individual leader following the two-round day, with 18 holes remaining on Saturday to decide the individual championship. Anh Minh's 36-hole total was the low score for the Beavers through two rounds.
Rylan Johnson finished the day tied for 16th at 1-under. Johnson followed an opening 1-over 73 with a 2-under 70 in the second round, moving him into the top 20 on the leaderboard.
Antoine Jasmin tied for 36th at 3-over after improving by five strokes from the opening round to the second. Jasmin rebounded from a 4-over first round with a 1-under 71 during Friday's second 18 holes.
Stanley Lin and Collin Hodgkinson rounded out Oregon State's lineup, each tied for 39th at 4-over through 36 holes. Lin posted rounds of 3-over 75 and 1-over 73, while Hodgkinson followed a 5-over opening round with a 1-under 71 in round two.
As a team, Oregon State finished the day 2-under with a two-round total of 566, carding scores of 290 in the morning round and 276 in the afternoon.
The 12 teams at the event will play 18 more holes Saturday.
