Beavers Victorious on Senior Day
March 14, 2026 | Women's Gymnastics
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State gymnastics was victorious on senior day, posting a 196.925 to defeat No. 23 Denver inside Gill Coliseum.
Sophia Esposito posted her third 39.500+ in the all-around this season, finishing with a 39.575 thanks to scores of 9.900 (vault), 9.850 (bars), 9.875 (beam) and 9.950 (floor). The floor score tied her career high while Saturday's all-around performance was her ninth of the regular season.
Camryn Richardson was back in the lineup and vaulted her way to a 9.850 before earning a 9.875 on bars as part of a rotation that finished with a 49.275 rotation score. Led off by Savannah Miller who tied a career high with a 9.850, Francesca Caso earned a 9.800 that set the stage for Taylor DeVries, whose strong routine resulted in a 9.900 before Esposito's 9.850; Richardson competed in the anchor spot of that lineup.
Ellie Weaver made her first appearance on floor exercise since getting hurt on that apparatus back in the 2024 season, a stretch of some 26 months. Weaver, who has competed on bars and beam in every meet as a senior, earned a 9.875 in her first floor routine back, also adding scores of 9.800 (BB) and 9.750 (UB) against No. 23 Denver.
Olivia Buckner's breakout junior season continued with a pair of strong scores on vault and floor. Earning a 9.875 for her vault, the Riverton, Utah, native has now been given a 9.850 or better on that even in five-consecutive weeks, while her 9.850 floor score was the third-consecutive week with a 9.850 or better.
Saturday's meet was senior day, and after a seniors-led "O-S-U" chant started the final rotation, the Beaver floor lineup exploded for a season-best 49.425 rotation score that counted no lower than a 9.850.
Started off by DeVries' career best-tying 9.800 and Buckner's 9.850, Weaver's 9.875 started a run of three-consecutive 9.875s with Reina Marchal and Miller adding to the fun. Esposito stole the show, however, scoring a 9.950 that tied her career high and made it three-straight 9.900-plus scores on that event and five of her last six appearances.
In total, Oregon State finished every single rotation with a 49.000 or better team score, started by a 49.150 on vault that was followed by the 49.275 bars score, 49.075 on beam and that 49.425 floor score.
Saturday's meet marked the end of the regular season for Oregon State gymnastics, who is one of four host sites for the 2026 NCAA Regional Championships slated for April 2-5. Tickets are available and can be purchased at https://beav.es/GymRegional.
