CORVALLIS – The Oregon State men's basketball team claimed a 76-70 win over LMU Wednesday evening at Gill Coliseum.
Isaiah Sy recorded his first career double-double, finishing with 25 points and 11 rebounds – both career highs. He finished the night 5-for-6 from 3-point range and 8-for-8 from the free throw stripe. Josiah Lake II tallied 21 points, nine of which came from the line.
Johan Munch scored eight points off the bench and recorded three steals. Jorge Diaz Graham had eight points, including some vital free throws down the stretch that helped the Beavers seal the victory.
Both teams were terrific from the free throw stripe in the contest, as the Beavers finished 29-for-31 and the Lions ended their night 24-for-25.

With the win, the Beavers return to .500 at 10-10 on the season, and move to 3-4 in WCC play. LMU now sits at 11-9 on the year and 2-5 in conference.
The teams traded baskets early on, with LMU heading to the first media timeout in front 6-5. The Lions extended their advantage to seven at the under-eight break. The Beavers chipped away at the lead, getting back within two with three minutes left in the half, and took the lead shortly thereafter.
The Lions headed to the break leading 37-36.
Oregon State scored the first eight points of the second half to open up its largest lead to that point. The Beavers extended the advantage to 11, but the LMU battled back with a 13-3 run to get back within one with nine minutes to play. The Lions regained the advantage with just over six minutes remaining.
The Beavers headed into the final minutes with a five-point lead, before an LMU 3-pointer got the Lions back within striking distance. Diaz Graham helped Oregon State close out the contest from the free throw line.
