Beavers Fall to No. 21 Texas Tech in Lubbock

The game was delayed for two hours, 24 minutes with 12:34 on the clock in the first quarter due to inclement weather and lightning in the area.

The Beavers got on the board on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Maalik Murphy to Bryce Caufield in the fourth quarter. Murphy added another scoring toss on a 26-yard pass to Karson Boschma, his first career reception at Oregon State.

Trent Walker and Caufield led the Beavers with seven receptions apiece, while David Wells Jr. finished with six catches for 103 yards.

Dexter Foster led the defense with 10 tackles, including one for a loss, and Skyler Thomas had an interception in the end zone midway through the second quarter, the third in his Oregon State career, and Harlem Howard added a pick in the fourth quarter.

Thomas Collins and Shamar Meikle split a sack, the first of the season for the Beavers.

The Beavers will next play the Oregon Ducks at noon on Saturday, September 20 at Autzen Stadium in Eugene. This will be the 129th all-time meeting in the Oregon State-Oregon Rivalry Series that is presented by Safeway-Albertsons, PacificSource Health Plans, Your Local Toyota Dealers and First Interstate Bank.
