Trent Walker Named To Biletnikoff Award Preseason Watch List
August 06, 2025 | Football
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State wide receiver Trent Walker was named to the Biletnikoff Award Preseason Award Watch List, as announced by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc., on Wednesday.
Â
The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back, and running back) who catches a pass is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver, not merely college football's outstanding wide receiver.
Â
The Biletnikoff Award's semifinalists, three finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers. Foundation trustees do not vote and have never voted. For a list of voters, please see BiletnikoffAward.com/voters.
Â
Walker, a redshirt senior from Portland, is coming off one of the best seasons by a wide receiver in Oregon State history. He caught 81 passes, tied for the seventh most in program history, for 901 yards and two touchdowns.
Â
He had at least three receptions in all 12 games. Walker's career-high 12 receptions against Washington State are the eighth most in Oregon State single-season history and his career-best 151 receiving yards against San Jose State rank in the top-40 for a single game by a Beaver.
Â
Two Oregon State receivers have previously earned the prestigious Biletnikoff Award. Mike Haas was presented the award in 2005, while Brandin Cooks received the honor in 2013.
