
Rademacher Tabbed USA Wrestling's Athlete of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Days after clinching the 97-kilogram U20 World Championships title in Bulgaria, Justin Rademacher has been named the USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week.
Rademacher – a West Linn, Ore., native - cruised to the title behind a 4-0 tournament that was highlighted by a win at decision (4-1) to Magomedgadzhi Magomedov – a U20 European bronze winner -for the gold medal. He clinched the finals trip with a win by technical fall (16-5) over the reigning U20 European champion and 2024 U17 World Champion, Konstantine Petriashvili.
The win secured his second U20 World medal, following a bronze in last year's competition in Spain and third title this summer following wins at the Senior and U20 Pan American Championships.
Rademacher will return to the lineup this upcoming season for the Beavers following a redshirt in 2024-25. In his freshman campaign (2023-24), he competed at the NCAA Championships after a runner-up performance at the Pac-12 Championships.
