
Beavers Return to the PNW for John Knight Twilight

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State Track and Field is back in their home state after a successful weekend in California. The Beavs will be competing at the John Knight Twilight Invitational Friday and Saturday, hosted by Western Oregon University.
The action starts at McArthur Stadium on Friday with the 1,500 meter race at 6:50 p.m. On Saturday, pole vault will kick off the field events at 10:00 a.m. and Riley Patera will start the track events for the Beavs with the 400 meters at 12:45 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
Oregon State Track and Field wrapped up a standout weekend in California with numerous personal bests and all-time program marks. Jillian Brown led the way at the Stanford Invitational, running 2:07.23 in the 800 meters to move to No. 3 in school history and later helped the 4x400 relay to the fourth-fastest time ever at OSU.
Ainsley Herron and Jamie Hamlin added all-time top-10 performances, Herron finishing 4:22.19 in the 1,500 meters for sixth in OSU history and Hamlin posting sixth in school history with a 10:33.99 finish in the steeplechase. The sprints crew posted strong efforts, including a 56.74 from Addison Swartzendruber in the 400, good for seventh in program history.
The Beavers also shined in the field and throws. Maryann Ackerman became OSU's all-time leader in the javelin with a 52.38m/171-10 throw at the Triton Invitational, leading a 1-2-4 finish with Isabelle Esler and Sara Sanders. Katie Gelston moved to third all-time in the discus with a throw of 53.04m/174-0.
Mia Fowler claimed a pole vault win with a 3.67m clearance. Grace Proudfoot and Riley Patera earned wins at the Mike Fanelli Classic in the high jump and 100 meters, respectively.
OSU's depth was on display across events with a flurry of personal bests: Sydney Partyka, Meagen Lowe, Jamie Hamlin, and Jenna O'Beirne all dropped time in the 800, while Katie Kopec cut 19 seconds off her 5,000-meter best. The 4x100 relay placed third (49.61), and the 400 featured personal bests from Ruby Lorenz and Ava McKee.
