Kyra Ly Claims Medalist Honors, Beavers Win Team Title
February 25, 2025 | Women's Golf
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Kyra Ly claimed medalist honors with a record-breaking performance and led the Oregon State women's golf team to the team title at the Causeway Invitational on Tuesday.
Ly won an individual title for the second time in her three-year Oregon State career with a 16-under 65-66-69—200. She had an eagle, 17 birdies and only three bogeys over the 54 holes of the event.
Her first title came at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational last March when she shared medalist honors with Camille Boyd of Washington after the tournament was suspended through 36 holes due to inclement weather and unplayable greens.
The Beavers won the team title with an 11-under 278-284-291—853 at the par-72, 6,143-yard Del Paso Country Club, which was two strokes better than second place Sacramento State's 9-under 855. The 11-under 853 is tied for the fifth lowest three-round score in program history.
It's the 15th team title in Oregon State history and the fifth for head coach Dawn Shockley.
