Corvallis, Ore. – After setting 17 new personal bests the last time they competed, the Beavers will travel to the Husky Classic and the Don Kirby Elite Invitational this weekend.

The distance crew will return to Seattle, Washington for the Husky Classic, hosted by the University of Washington. Friday will start with the 3,000m at 3:45 p.m. The crew will start again on Saturday with the mile at 10:55 a.m. The last time they competed in the mile at Dempsey, OSU saw eight new personal bests, collectively shaving off over 35 seconds.

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, the rest of the squad will compete in the Don Kirby Elite Invitational. Pole vault will kick off Friday at 10:30 a.m. Jayla Hooper and Beatrice Pettersson will start Saturday for the Beavs at 9:00 a.m. with shot put.

The Oregon State Track and Field team had an impressive showing at the UW Invitational, recording 17 personal bests. Jayla Hooper dominated the weight throw with a winning mark of 20.93m/66-10.75. At the same time, Beatrice Pettersson, Markayla Billings, and Katie Gelston all secured top-11 finishes with personal bests, moving up in OSU's all-time rankings.

The mile saw standout performances, with Ainsley Herron leading the Beavers in 4:45.98, securing the #6 spot in program history. Several teammates followed with personal bests, highlighting the team's depth. In the high jump, Grace Proudfoot and Lexi Hunt both cleared 1.64m/5-4.25, finishing sixth and seventh. Megan Hatcher placed 14th in the 400 meters, while Riley Patera ran a personal best of 59.35.

Hooper continued her strong meet with a second-place finish in the shot put 14.76m/48-5.25, while Pettersson placed third with a PB. Jillian Brown led the 800 meters with a PB of 2:07.98, earning the #2 spot in OSU history. Dede Norman excelled in her pentathlon debut, setting a PB of 8.93 in the 60m hurdles and winning the high jump at 1.70m5-7, ranking #6 in OSU history.

The distance squad shined in the 3,000 meters, led by Delaney Griffin who finished in 9:27.69, with PBs from Molly Latincsics and Payton Smith. In field events, Claire Lee and Mia Fowler cleared 3.71m/12-2 in the pole vault. Mersayis Shedd ran 26.81 in the 200 meters, while the Distance Medley Relay teams delivered top-10 program performances, with the fastest squad finishing in 11:32.90 to secure the #5 spot in OSU history.
