Beavers Fall to Cougars at Home
October 22, 2025 | Women's Soccer
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State women's soccer hosted Washington State on Wednesday, falling 1-0 at Paul Lorenz Field.
Carly Carraher and Alyssa White finished with a team-leading three shots apiece as the Beavers put up 16 in the game, marking the fifth time this season that OSU has put up 15-plus shots in a single contest. The Beavers looked close to a breakthrough early in the second half, but Carly Carraher (48') and Adele Schwab (49') both had their shots saved.
Mya Sanchez made four more saves as her stellar senior season continued, making an early impact with impressive kick save in the 24th minute, and finishing with four in the game. With four saves, Sanchez moved from tenth in program history to a tie for eighth in career saves, surpassing Sammy Jo Prudhomme (2012-13, 188) and leveling with Jo Fletcher (2001-02, 190).
Lindsey Antonson made her return to the starting eleven, her first start since Oct. 13, 2023. One game after scoring her first goal as a Beav, Isa Calderon played a career-high 41 minutes off the Beaver bench, while as a team, Oregon State held a 7-4 advantage in total corner kicks.
WSU found the game's lone goal with an effort off a direct free kick, dinking it in off the woodwork in the 83rd minute.
