Marrs Wins Third WCC Freshman of the Week Award
October 20, 2025 | Women's Volleyball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Unmatched in the West Coast Conference with her league-best fourth Player of the Week award, Alana Marrs picked up her third Freshman of the Week nod, as announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Marrs – a middle blocker from Ellensburg, Wash. – played a big role in Oregon State's sweep of San Francisco on Sunday afternoon behind 10 kills, two blocks and two digs. On the attack, she registered a .692 clip on 13 swings and committed just three errors in the seventh sweep of 2025 for the Beavers.
Sunday was Marrs' seventh outing of the season with double-digits in kills and second in as many matches against the Dons after 11 earlier this month in San Francisco.
With this honor, Marrs is now the lone student-athlete in the WCC to win an award on four instances this season. She was tabbed the Freshman of the Week twice last month and concluded September with a Defensive Player of the Week award. She's one of three Beavers (Lauren Rumel and Tia Shum) to garner league awards this season.
Marrs and Oregon State will start a three-match road trip with visits to Pepperdine and LMU this week.
