CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State volleyball has signed Amaya Tolentino ahead of the 2026 season, Head Coach Lindsey Behonick announced Tuesday.
"We are thrilled to welcome Amaya to the program. Throughout the recruiting process, her versatility, power, and drive consistently stood out," Coach Behonick said. "She brings a terminal attack, the ability to be effective on either pin and a strong desire to maximize her potential at the collegiate level.
"Amaya has a true hunger to learn and a relentless mindset to become the best version of herself both on and off the court," Behonick added. "Her work ethic, inclusive personality, and dynamic skill set make her an outstanding fit for Oregon State Volleyball."
An outside/opposite hitter from San Antonio, Texas, Tolentino played her freshman season at Jacksonville State in Jacksonville, Ala., totaling 213 kills and 55 blocks across 26 total appearances and 99 sets played.
She finished with 10 kills in her collegiate debut against Cincinnati and tallied a season and career high 16 in a five-set win over Missouri State Oct. 10, hitting .400 while adding four blocks. Three weeks later, she helped the Gamecocks to a four-set victory over Sam Houston State with eight kills and a season-high six blocks.
Tolentino recorded double-digit kills eight times and had five or more in 23 different matches.
Playing her prep career at Cornerstone Christian Schools, Tolentino finished her high school career with a 122-13 record while playing for Alamo Volleyball on the club circuit.
Oregon State Volleyball will make its return to the Pac-12 this fall and schedule information will be made available at a later date.
