October 10, 2025 | Men's Soccer
CORVALLIS – Arnau Farnos scored his ninth goal of the season, as the No. 16 Oregon State men's soccer team earned a road draw at LMU Friday evening in Los Angeles, Calif.
Farnos scored in his sixth-straight contest, setting a new Oregon State record for consecutive games with a goal. He also moved into a tie for eighth on the Beavers' career goals list with 22. Fabian Straudi notched an assist on the score, moving him into a tie with Sofiane Djeffal for second on OSU's career assists list.
The draw marked the Beavers' first tie of the season, as Oregon State moved to 6-3-1 on the year and 2-0-1 in conference play.
LMU created the first scoring chance of the match within the first three minutes of play, but John Nicolson was quick to react to make the save. Farnos opened the scoring in the 20th minute, hammering one home from the top of the box off assists from Straudi and Andrew De Gannes.
The Beavers put the ball in the net again in the 29th minute, but the goal was chalked-off due to offside. The Lions leveled the score in the 29th minute. The two sides headed to the break level at a goal apiece.
LMU appeared to take the lead within the first two minutes of the second half, but the score was deemed to be offside following a lengthy VAR review. Oregon State very nearly answered with a goal of its own shortly thereafter, but a trio of Beavers narrowly missed getting on the end of a cross from Lucas Fernandez-Kim.
Fran Cortijo took aim off a free kick in the 66th minute, but had his effort as well as the rebound both blocked. The match opened up down the stretch, with both teams creating scoring chances, but neither side was able to claim the victory.
The teams finished the contest level on shots with nine apiece.
The Beavers will return home Wednesday for a marquee matchup against No. 6 Portland.
