Kyra Ly, Raya Nakao Selected To WCC Preseason Team

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kyra Ly and Raya Nakao were both named to the West Coast Conference Women's Golf Preseason Team, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Oregon State women's golf team was selected to finish second in the six-team WCC, as selected by a vote of the conference coaches.

Ly, a junior from Portland, has a career scoring average of 73.78 in 26 tournaments with four Top 10 finishes and a share of the individual title at the Meadow Club Invitational last spring. She posted four of her 12 rounds in red figures this past fall, including a career best-tying 5-under 67 in the second round of the Molly Collegiate Invitational.
Nakao, a sophomore from Kaneohe, Hawai'i, set the Oregon State single-season scoring average record as a true freshman with a 72.05 and is off to another great start this year with a team-best 72.33 in the four fall events. She already has five Top 10 finishes and 17 sub-par scoring rounds in only one-plus years of collegiate golf.
