CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State women's basketball dropped Saturday's game against Portland 86-61.

Â
Kennedie Shuler was a bright spot for the Beavers throughout the day, fighting her way to 13 points, seven rebounds and a steal. The sophomore made 5-of-9 shots from the floor.
Â
Kelsey Rees struggled from the floor but found ways to draw fouls and converted at the free throw line to contribute 14 points. AJ Marotte added 11 points on a 4-for-9 day from the floor and 3-for-6 day from three.Â
Â
The two teams battled in the first quarter with Portland leading 23-16 after the opening frame. The Pilots extended the lead to 47-31 at halftime, shooting 58 percent from the floor to outpace the Beavers in the opening 20 minutes. From there, the Pilots held the advantage to secure the victory.
