
Beavers Return Home, Welcome Wyoming to Gill

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Nearly two months since the last time competing inside Gill Coliseum, the Oregon State wrestling team will return home to battle another ranked foe on Sunday.
The Beavers will welcome 30th-ranked Wyoming for the first home matchup of the calendar year. Sunday's matinee also opens a stretch of three home dates in the next four.

Back Home Again
• The Oregon State wrestling team will return home for the first time since mid-November, when they hosted fourth-ranked Oklahoma State.
• Sunday's dual marks the second consecutive season with a home dual on January 19th. In 2024, Oregon State defeated Cal Poly by a 21-17 margin.
• The dual also is the second consecutive home one against a team named the Cowboys.
• As with every home dual this season, FloWrestling will have the exclusive streaming rights.
Beavs and Cowboys
• The Beavers and Cowboys will meet for the 37th time in a series OSU holds a 24-12 advantage and wins in each of the last three meetings.
• These programs have met near-annually since the 2014-15 campaign with the exception of 2020-21.
• Wyoming will be the fourth - and final - Big 12 foe on the season for Oregon State following meetings with Oklahoma State and North Dakota State back in November and Utah Valley to close December.
Battle Tested
• A little after January's midpoint and the schedule has not let up for the Beavers.
• Of the four opponents met in duals, three have been ranked and each of those three have been in the top five of Intermat's rankings.
• Wyoming is the fourth ranked opponent on the schedule so far.

Last Time Out
• #9 Maximo Renteria defeated then-#6 Brendan McClure as the Beavers opened 2025 in Columbus, Ohio against fifth-ranked Ohio State.
• The Buckeyes took the match by a 40-3 margin.
Looking Ahead
• Pac-12 action opens up in the Natural State next week as the Beavers will visit Little Rock.
• Oregon State and Little Rock will meet for the sixth time in history.
• Despite dropping last year's meeting in Hillsboro, Ore., the Beavers hold a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series.
• Oregon State will open Pac-12 play against Little Rock for the fourth time under Pendleton.
• Including the dual next week, four of the last five league openers have come against the Trojans.
