
Beavs Look to Maintain Momentum in Seattle

Corvallis, Ore. – After multiple new additions to the history books the last time they competed, the Oregon State Track and Field team heads to the UW Preview in Seattle, Wash., hoping to add to the OSU Top 10.

The last time they competed at this meet in 2023, the Beavs saw six new personal bests and six podium finishes in the top three. Current senior Jada Hurley posted a previous personal best in the 60 meter finals with a time of 7.64, placing fourth overall. Hurley is one of five returning to this meet; the rest of the team will be competing at the UW Preview for the first time.

Dede Norman will start the weekend with 60M hurdles at noon on Friday. Sage Brooks, Ellie Hull and Sydney Partyka will continue with the mile on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
At the Silver State Invitational, Jada Hurley highlighted the 60 meters with a sixth-place finish overall, while Megan Hatcher's time of 7.82 earned her the #7 spot in OSU history. Ava McKee placed third in the 600 meters and Jayla Hooper excelled in the shot put with a third-place throw of 14.30m, marking the #4 all-time OSU record. Hooper also shattered the school weight throw record with a mark of 19.19m, surpassing the previous record by over seven feet.
At the Danville Indoor Opener, Ainsley Herron and Ruby Broadbent posted strong mile finishes, giving Herron the #6 OSU all-time spot. Jillian Brown's personal best of 2:10.09 in the 800 meters secured OSU's #3 all-time mark, while Kate Laurent led the 3,000 meters with a personal best of 9:20.71 for #3 in OSU history. Freshmen, Megan Hatcher and Addison Swartzendruber impressed in the 400m, finishing third and fourth for the #3 and #4 spots in OSU records. Dede Norman claimed first in the high jump with a leap of 1.78m, earning the #6 OSU all-time rank.
The Oregon State Track and Field team concluded a successful weekend with strong performances, earning multiple top finishes and 11 entries into the OSU record books.
