Oregon State to Battle UConn in Baha Mar Championship Opener
September 24, 2024 | Women's Basketball
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State will open the Continental Tire Baha Mar Women's Championship with UConn before battling either Ole Miss or Boston College.
Â
Veteran sports promoter bdG Sports announced the field Tuesday. The Beavs will spend the week and compete at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Center on Monday, Nov. 25 and Wednesday, Nov. 27. All games will be streamed on FloHoops. OSU's opening round game against UConn will be at 7:30 p.m. ET.Â
Â
The Beavers – coming off their third Elite Eight appearance - will be one of three teams in the four-team field who reached the NCAA Tournament with the Huskies making the Final Four and Ole Miss reaching the second round.
Â
"The top brands in college basketball assembling at the beautiful Baha Mar resort this November will bring a level of competition and entertainment that is elite," national TV analyst Debbie Antonelli remarked in the field announcement.
Â
Tickets and VIP packages are currently available for purchase at www.bahamarhoops.com. VIP package amenities include a minimum three-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, two premium tickets to all games of the event, two tickets to the event's VIP reception (Nov. 26) with dinner and open bar included, round-trip ground transportation from the airport and resort, two daily breakfast vouchers, welcome gifts and personal concierge service. Airfare is not included in the packages. A passport is required to enter the Bahamas.
Â
Oregon State returns two starters from last season's Elite Eight team, pairing them with several exciting newcomers. The Beavers released their non-conference schedule earlier this month. Season tickets are on sale at beavertickets.com.
