Jade Carey to Make First Public Appearance Since Winning Gold

The Beaver gymnast will be celebrated in a parade-like event followed by a brief ceremony on Wednesday night.
CORVALLIS, Ore. - Jade Carey will make her first public appearance back in Corvallis during a public event scheduled for Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Parker Plaza, located in front of Reser Stadium.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist will have a brief ride down Ralph Miller Lane before a program that includes words from members of the OSU Gymnastics coaching staff and Carey, before a Q/A between the Beaver Olympian and MC Ron Callan will draw the event to a close.

There will be a designated media area close to the stage for writers, photographers and videographers.Â
