CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State reopens the Whyte Track and Field Complex on Saturday with the OSU PNW Invite.

Admission to the meet is free, and weather is expected to be excellent with forecasts showing a sunny day with a high of 67 degrees.

The meet opens with the men's pole vault at 10 a.m. Women's field events start at 11 a.m. with track events beginning with the 3,000 meters at 1 p.m.

The fully renovated facility will be hosting its first meet with 1,200 new bleacher seats, the majority of which are covered, a new press box and a new bathroom facility.

Fans who enter from the parking lot off Western (behind the Hilton Garden Inn) will come through the new grand entry, which connects the grandstands to the entrance as well as the throws and jumps areas, allowing fans to almost view the track from all sides. The shot put area – located next to the grandstand - has also been enlarged.

The Beavers are competing in their first outdoor meet of the season after the Willamette Opener was canceled due to rain in Salem at the beginning of the month.
