Pope Earns Pac-12 Honor

CORVALLIS – Oregon State standout Jordan Pope has been named a Pac-12 All-Conference Honorable Mention, the conference office announced Tuesday morning.
Pope, who was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team last season, is fifth in the conference in points per game and leads the league in minutes played and free throw percentage. Pope is averaging 17.6 points per game on the year and 18.0 in conference play. He is shooting 45.3 percent from the floor and 37.1 percent from beyond the arc.
With 546 points this season, Pope is fourth on Oregon State's all-time sophomore scoring list. He is 10th amongst sophomore nationally in scoring, and is one of 24 players in program history with multiple 30+ point scoring games. Pope's season was highlighted by ESPN and Naismith National Player of the Week honors in late January, following the Beavers' wins over Arizona and Arizona State.
Oregon State will open the Pac-12 Tournament on Wednesday when it takes on UCLA in Las Vegas. The game is slated to tip at approximately 2:30 p.m.
