
Beavers Take Exhibition Win Over MSU Billings

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State men's basketball team claimed an 83-63 victory over Montana State Billings in exhibition action Saturday evening at Gill Coliseum.
Michael Rataj led the Beavers with 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting to go with eight rebounds and three steals. Parsa Fallah finished with 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting, while Isaiah Sy ended his night with 12 points.
Damarco Minor scored 11 points to round out a quartet of Beavers in double-figures. The point guard pulled down six rebounds and had three steals.
As a team, the Beavers shot 49.1 percent from the floor, while holding the Yellowjackets to 36.5 percent shooting. Oregon State out-rebounded MSU Billings 44-27.
The teams traded punches early, but the Beavers were able to take a 25-17 lead mid-way through the first half. Oregon State headed to the break leading 47-41. Fallah led the Beavers with 11 first-half points on 4-for-7 shooting from the floor.
Oregon State scored the first 16 points of the second-half to bring the lead to 22. OSU controlled the game from there, taking the win by 20.
The Beavers will open the season on Monday Nov. 4 when Utah Tech visits Gill Coliseum.
