Brooks Finishes First, Beavs Win Overall

CORVALLIS, Ore. –  Sage Brooks claimed the first-place finish, leading the Beavers to a first-place team win at the Linfield George Oja Invitational.

The Beavs delivered an outstanding performance this morning in Salem, taking home a first-place finish out of 19 competing teams. Brooks led the charge, finishing first overall with a time of 20:41.70, putting seven seconds between first and second place.

Freshman, Cadence Kasprick had a breakout race, setting a personal record with a time of 21:35.50, securing 10th place. Right behind her was sophomore Noemi Lundgren, who ran a time of 21:45.00, finishing 11th

Ruby Broadbent placed 15th with a time of 21:55.50, while junior, Payton Smith posted a time of 22:10.80, securing 18th place. Freshman, Delaney Ulrich's time of 22:20.30 earned her 23rd place.

Sophia Stubblefield helped the Beavs with her 36th-place finish in 22:58.50. Freshmen, Kate Yahn placed 46th in 23:05.60 and Reese Morkert claimed 65th, finishing in 23:22.10. Hannah Hernandez contributed a solid finish with a time of 23:49.10 for 89th.
