
Laurent Earns WCC Runner of the Week for a Second Time

CORVALLIS –  Oregon State's Kate Laurent has been named WCC Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season, the conference office announced Tuesday.
A consistent standout for the Beavers, Laurent secured an impressive 11th-place finish at the Dellinger Invitational, setting a personal best in the 6,000-meter race. The junior made significant strides, improving by 32 spots from her previous performance on the Springfield course.
Earlier this season, Laurent earned the same honor following her third-place finish at Pre's Trail Run. She was also named to the 2024 Women's Cross Country Preseason All-West Coast Conference Team.
The Beavers will return on November 2nd for the WCC Championships in Lodi. Calif.Â
