
Munoz Named Pac-12's Wrestler of the Week

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Trey Munoz – Oregon State's 184-pounder – is named the Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week, as announced by the conference.
Tabbed at No. 4 in the latest polls by both Intermat and FloWrestling, he defeated Penn State's Bernie Truax by decision at 5-2 on Friday night. Truax came into the dual with a No. 2 ranking.
Munoz – an All-American and two-time defending Pac-12 champ at 184 – carries a 12-2 mark this season, including five wins by fall.
The latest honor from the Pac-12 is Munoz's second Wrestler of the Week nod following the week of December 27, 2022.
Munoz and the Beavers will return to competition next week against Cal Poly (Jan. 19) and at Oklahoma State (Jan. 21).
