
Cross Country to Open 2023 at Linfield Harrier Classic

CORVALLIS – Oregon State cross country heads north to open the 2023 season on Friday, competing at the Linfield Opener at Joe Dancer Park.

The 4K rust-buster features several of the Beavers' anticipated key runners for the season, including three from the 2022 NCAA National Championships squad. Oregon State will also debut eight freshmen running unattached to give them a taste of collegiate action without burning redshirts.

The Beavers earned a no. 4 regional ranking from the USTFCCCA. It is tied for the highest preseason regional ranking in school history with 2021. OSU earned the no. 20 spot in the national poll.

The Beavs return two All-Region runners in Kaylee Mitchell and Grace Fetherstonhaugh, who will likely open their seasons in a few weeks at Nuttycombe.
