
Beavs Place 19 on WCGA All-American Scholars List for Second-Straight Year

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Nineteen Oregon State gymnasts were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) on Thursday morning.
The criteria for being named a WCGA All-American Scholar is a 3.5 overall grade point average or a 3.5 grade point average for 2022-23.
Oregon State had a team GPA of 3.64174 this past academic season, the 35th best in the nation. The 19 Beavers selected ties for the most by any program in the Pac-12 Conference.
Carley Beeman, Kayla Bird, Madi Dagen, Julia Melchert and Kristina Peterson all had a 4.0 GPA in 2022-23.
Kayla Bird, Jenna Domingo and Jane Poniewz become the 28th, 29th and 30th Oregon State gymnasts to have earned WCGA Scholastic All-America all four years they competed at Oregon State, while Madi Dagen and Kristina Peterson become the first-ever five-time honorees due to COVID-19 eligible .
