Oregon State Edged By ASU in Series Finale

Mason Guerra hit a first-inning three-run home run and Mikey Kane went deep for the third time in the series, but the Sun Devils managed to score six in the third, three in the sixth to tie the game at 10 and took the lead for good with two in the seventh.
Bazzana's slam, the fifth by the Beavers (26-13 overall, 11-10 Pac-12 Conference) put the Beavers up 10-6 in the fifth. He also doubled, singled and stole second and third in the first inning.
Kasper finished the day 1-for-2 with three walks and four stolen bases.
Oregon State totaled 12 hits off six Arizona State (27-12, 13-4) pitchers, and drew nine walks. Micah McDowell and Kyle Dernedde had two hits apiece for OSU.
Aiden Jimenez took the loss, dropping to 1-1 on the year. He allowed three hits and two runs in 2/3 of an inning. Owen Stevenson picked up the win after holding the Beavers to one hit in two scoreless innings. He is 3-1.
Next Up
Oregon State remains on the road for one more game Monday when visiting Grand Canyon. First pitch is slated for noon PT. The game will air live on ESPN+.

Oregon State Notes
- Brady Kasper stole four bases, which were one shy of an all-time OSU-best, following Travis Bazzana, who stole five Tuesday against Seattle. Kasper equaled Steve Lyons (1979) and David Anderson (1991).
- Bazzana finished with two stolen bases Sunday. He has at least one steal in six consecutive games and 7-of-8.
- Bazzana has 22 stolen bases on the season, which is now good for 10th in a season at Oregon State.
- He also has 36 for his career, which is three shy of tying for eighth in the OSU record books.
- Oregon State's seven steals as a team equaled season-high. OSU also stole seven against Gonzaga on April 11 and Seattle on April 19.
- Mason Guerra finished with three RBI. He has at least one in his last nine games. Guerra has two or more in six of those nine games.
- The teams combined for 11 extra-base hits on Sunday and 33 for the series. The Beavers finished with seven doubles and nine home runs.
- Oregon State also swiped 10 bases in the three games. The Beavers have stolen at least one base in 10 consecutive games. OSU has 32 over that stretch.
