Top-15 Showdown Awaits GymBeavs in Tempe

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The No. 11 Oregon State gymnastics team finishes the road portion of the regular season with a dual at No. 15 Arizona State on Saturday, March 4 at 2 p.m. PT from Desert Financial Arena.
The meet is set to air on the Pac-12 Network with Jim Watson and Amanda Borden on the call. The home Sun Devils will follow Olympic order of vault, bars, beam and floor, with the GymBeavs rotating bars, vault, floor, and finishing on beam.

The No. 11 Oregon State gymnastics broke the school beam record, tied the second-highest floor score in program history and posted season-bests on all four events en route to a program record 198.075 in a magical night at Maples Pavilion, defeating No. 24 Stanford's 197.575.
NEWEST MEMBERS OF THE 198 CLUB
For the first time in program history, Oregon State went over the coveted 198 mark, recording a program-record 198.075 against Stanford to break the previous school record of 197.850. OSU joins elite company, with just seven programs going over the 198 mark this year.
FOUR FOR FOUR
En route to the highest score in program history, Oregon State went four-for-four, recording season high scores on each event. The 49.675 on floor was second only to the program record of 49.700 set in 2004, while the 49.650 on beam broke the school record set six days previous of 49.625. The Beavs took scores of 49.375 on bars and vault, with the bars score being the highest since 2020 and the vault score tying for seventh all-time and marks the highest score since 2015 on the apparatus.
SERIES HISTORY
The Beavs and GymDevils will meet for the 98th time on Saturday afternoon. OSU holds a 12-10-1 advantage on the road and will look to push their streak to three-straight victories over ASU dating back to last season. The GymBeavs lead the overall series 72-23-2 and are 62-17-1 against the Sun Devils during the regular season.
BEHIND ENEMY LINES
Arizona State is led by Jay Santos, who is in his seventh season as the leader of the Sun Devil program. ASU was the highest climber in this week eight rankings, jumping from No. 22 to No. 15, after a pair of victories, including defeating No. 3 Utah with a score of 197.550 and recording the best road score in program history with a 197.475 in a win at Washington. Hannah Scharf was selected as the Pac-12 Coaches Choice of the Week for her efforts against Utah and Washington, including setting her all-around career high with a 39.675, which ranks as 10th-best all-around in Gym Devil history. Her best event of the day was a 9.975 on bars, a new career high not only on that event, but in any event. Her 9.975 on bars against the Utes won her an event title and was the highest individual bars score since 2019.
UP NEXT
OSU closes the regular season at home against Utah on Saturday, March 11 at 2 p.m. The meet serves as the final sendoff for OSU seniors Kayla Bird, Madi Dagen, Jenna Domingo and Kristina Peterson. Less than 500 tickets remain for the final meet.
