
Beavers Fall to Cardinal

CORVALLIS – Oregon State fell to Stanford 83-60 Thursday evening at Gill Coliseum.
Tyler Bilodeau led the Beavers with 11 points and six rebounds, converting five of his seven shot attempts from the floor. Jordan Pope scored 11 points, as he matched Gary Payton for third on Oregon State's freshman scoring list with 374 points on the season.
Rodrigue Andela went a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor to end his day with eight points, while Dexter Akanno had seven points. Michael Rataj recorded five assists.
As a team, Oregon State hit 17 of its 18 free throw attempts. The Beavers scored 26 points in the paint and 21 points off the bench.
The Beavers jumped out to a 12-5 lead five minutes into the contest. The Cardinal answered with 10-straight points to take the lead five minutes later. Stanford extended the advantage to six, before Oregon State answered to level the score at 29.
Stanford used an 11-0 run to go up by nine just before the intermission, before Oregon State used a trio of Pope free throws to head to the break down 40-34.
The Cardinal took a 14-point lead early in the second half, and extended the lead to 20 with 11 minutes to play. Stanford held on from there to take the win by 23.
The Beavers will wrap up the regular season Saturday when California visits Gill Coliseum. Oregon State will honor Rodrigue Andela and Dzmitry Ryuny in pregame ceremony for Senior Day.
